N\u00e3o s\u00f3 pela sua caracter\u00edstica marcante dos casar\u00f5es de fachadas rec\u00e9m reformadas, mas tamb\u00e9m pelos moradores que exalam um estilo dividido entre <strong><em>bourgeoisie<\/em><\/strong> e <strong><em>neo-hipster<\/em><\/strong> pelas ruas e avenidas da regi\u00e3o. Bares, ateliers e diversas op\u00e7\u00f5es de entretenimento tamb\u00e9m s\u00e3o facilmente encontradas por aqui.<\/p>\n<p>Mas o que nem todos sabem \u00e9 que Prenzlauer Berg \u00e9 resultado n\u00edtido de uma das mais marcantes gentrifica\u00e7\u00f5es de Berlim, que hoje ocorrem freneticamente nos bairros de <strong>Friedrichshain, Kreuzberg <\/strong>e<strong> Moabit<\/strong>. Prenzlauer Berg surgiu na metade do s\u00e9culo XIX a partir de um projeto de planejamento urbano para constru\u00e7\u00e3o de resid\u00eancias para oper\u00e1rios.<\/p>\n<p>Fundado com o intuito de abrigar os trabalhadores da regi\u00e3o, o bairro veio por atrair muitos artistas e intelectuais que buscavam um lugar financeiramente mais acess\u00edvel para morar. As casas de corti\u00e7o, conhecidas em alem\u00e3o como <strong>Mietskasern, <\/strong>eram um conjunto de apartamentos com banheiros compartilhados, na maioria dos casos, apenas um em cada andar do pr\u00e9dio.<\/p>\n<p>Como Prenzlauer Berg era habitada historicamente por pensadores e opositores do governo, durante a Guerra Fria, o bairro contava com uma das maiores estruturas de espionagem da Alemanha. O lado oriental, sob dom\u00ednio sovi\u00e9tico, temia que de l\u00e1 surgisse algum movimento contr\u00e1rio ao governo da <strong>DDR<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Com o fim da guerra fria, os apartamentos foram reformados e readequados \u00e0s exig\u00eancias sanit\u00e1rias dos padr\u00f5es europeus. O que consequentemente aumentaram os pre\u00e7os dos alugueis da regi\u00e3o, tornando-se mais caros nos \u00faltimos anos. Ainda existem comunidades resistentes que habitam alguns pr\u00e9dios do bairro, indo de frente contra a gentrifica\u00e7\u00e3o e o capitalismo.<\/p>\n<p>Na avenida mais famosa do bairro, <strong>Kastaninenalle<\/strong>, onde os jovens alunos da escola de idiomas <strong>\u201cGerman Language School\u201d<\/strong> costumam se juntam para os<em> Happy Hours<\/em>, encontramos a diversidade e uma atmosfera prop\u00edcia para se aproveitar o clima internacional berlinense.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e3o podemos falar de Prenzlauer Berg e n\u00e3o mencionar a<strong> Kulturbauerei, <\/strong>que era uma antiga cervejaria e hoje funciona como complexo de cultura e arte no bairro. As festas de Ano Novo comemoradas neste espa\u00e7o s\u00e3o memor\u00e1veis e merecem ser consideradas caso voc\u00ea passe esta data por aqui!<\/p>\n<p>Prenzlauer Berg, que pertence atualmente ao distrito de <strong>Pankow<\/strong>, \u00e9 de fato um dos melhores lugares para se viver em Berlim. Sua hist\u00f3ria \u00e9 muito significativa para a cidade e merece ser sempre lembrada pelos que ali passam! Os habitantes da montanha (Berg) de Prenzlauer s\u00e3o privilegiados por estarem t\u00e3o pr\u00f3ximos deste caldeir\u00e3o art\u00edstico.<\/p>\n<p><a
